Doula (doo - la) is derived from Greek,
and means "one who serves"
a birth or labor doula is a
woman experienced in childbirth
some doulas provide both
birth and postpartum support
Available for continuous labor support, in your home. I will travel with you to your hospital or birth center, or assist in
your planned homebirth.
Postpartum support means you, the new mother, will have the help you deserve. . . . light housekeeping, cooking, laundry,
babycare and breastfeeding support. I will keep your household running, and you well cared for, while you adjust to life with
your beautiful new baby.
